![]() TTL with Profoto strobes (or now with Elinchrom's ELB500) doesn't change the strobe's colour consistency in "normal" mode between max and min power. This video doesn't cover TTL with Profoto or Godox's strobes. Same with HS mode btw, but it becomes warmer instead of colder.Īnyway, my 2 cents. With the B1 it's basically out the window, with the Siros the temperature cools down, but stays consistent there. I remember when I was on the fence between getting into Profoto or Bron, one of the major swing factors was colour consistency in speed/freeze mode (because I shoot a lot of sports). I did know Profoto loses colour consistency with HSS, as well as "freeze" mode, but didn't know TTL caused the same issue. ![]() ![]() These are not lab quality tests so expect the error bars to be quite large. Forget colour consistency if you're using HSS or TTL. The B1X is a bit worse than you would expect. They are broadly the same as Hall's results but he does have some HSS and TTL tests. To save you 19 minutes here's as set of tests that a Chinese group who (as far as I can tell by looking at their web site and using google translate) have no commercial interests with any of the vendors. He mostly talks about Godox kit so I think he has some sort of relationship with Adorama. Before I spend 19 minutes watching it, is he sponsored by or an ambassador for any of those companies or their distributors?
